The package covers our professional arrangements and attendance on the day, together with transport and a simple floral gesture at the graveside.

Clear and transparent pricing

£299 Plus Disbursements

Disbursements are fees charged by third parties rather than by Jennifer Ashe & Son. They vary according to the cemetery, churchyard, ashes plot, officiant and any memorial permissions required.

We will contact the relevant organisations, explain the charges and provide a complete written estimate before the interment is booked.

The £299 package does not include the cemetery or churchyard interment fee, the purchase of an ashes plot, an officiant fee or memorial charges.

Interment Fee

The cemetery or churchyard may charge for opening the plot and interring the ashes.

Ashes Plot

A new plot or exclusive right of burial may need to be purchased where no family plot is available.

Officiant

A minister or celebrant can be arranged when the family would like a formal graveside service.

Memorial Permission

The burial authority may charge an application or permit fee for a tablet, plaque or inscription.

What are disbursements?
Disbursements are third-party charges paid to organisations such as the cemetery, churchyard, minister or memorial authority. They are separate from our £299 package charge.
Can the ashes be placed in an existing family grave?
Often, yes, provided the burial rights and cemetery or churchyard rules allow it. We can contact the relevant authority and confirm what paperwork and permissions are needed.
Is a limousine included?
Yes. The package includes a Jaguar limousine to chauffeur up to six mourners. An additional Jaguar limousine can be added for £200.
Can we have a minister or celebrant?
Yes. We can arrange an officiant or work with someone chosen by the family. Their fee is a third-party charge and is added to the written estimate.
Do we need an ashes casket?
The requirements depend on the burial authority and the family’s preference. We can explain the suitable options and provide an ashes casket for £149 if required.
Can we add a memorial afterwards?
Yes. Our memorial team can help with plaques, tablets, headstones and inscriptions, subject to the rules and permit process of the cemetery or churchyard.
