Our Private Chapels of Rest
Peaceful, private spaces where families can spend time with their loved one before the funeral.
Visiting Your Loved One
At Jennifer Ashe & Son Funeral Directors, we understand how important it can be for families to spend time with their loved one before the funeral.
Our private Chapels of Rest provide a calm, dignified and peaceful setting where families can visit, reflect, say goodbye, or simply sit quietly for a while.
We have Chapels of Rest available across our funeral homes in Willenhall, Brownhills, Oxley and Hednesford.
Peaceful and Private Chapel Spaces
Our Chapels of Rest are designed to provide families with privacy, comfort and reassurance at a very difficult time.
Arranging a Chapel Visit
Visiting Hours
Our Chapels of Rest are available for family visits Monday to Friday between 10:00am and 4:00pm.
Appointments
We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice when arranging a visit, so we can make sure a chapel is available and prepared for your family.
Out of Hours Visits
Where possible, we can arrange visits outside our normal chapel visiting hours. Additional charges may apply, as this requires members of our team to be specially arranged outside standard working hours.
Why We Recommend Embalming
When a family wishes to visit their loved one in our Chapel of Rest, we will often recommend embalming, also known as hygienic treatment.
Embalming can help preserve a more natural and peaceful appearance, which can make the Chapel of Rest experience more comforting for families. It can also help maintain your loved one’s appearance in the days leading up to the funeral, allowing family members the potential opportunity to visit more than once where appropriate.
Every person and every situation is different, and our team will always advise you with honesty, care and sensitivity. The purpose of embalming is to help ensure that, where a family chooses to visit, the experience is as peaceful and reassuring as possible.
A More Natural Appearance
Embalming can help your loved one appear more restful and natural when family members visit.
A Better Chapel Experience
For many families, seeing their loved one looking peaceful can provide comfort and reassurance.
More Opportunity to Visit
Where suitable, embalming may help allow visits to take place more frequently up to the time of the funeral.
Our Chapel of Rest Locations
Families can arrange chapel visits at any of our four funeral homes, subject to availability and appointment.
